In the 1970s, there was always a disco ball close at hand
This all started with me googling the phonetic spelling of the French word “cherchez” (no reason, just a passing brain fart). As usual with most YouTube uploads taken out of context, I’m utterly mesmerized by this (the tune, yes, but mostly the lead singer’s strange housecoat/pajama outfit).
I also never knew the phrase “Cherchez la femme” was such a popular one years ago, but it explains why Dunaway utters the line in Chinatown (which we rented recently and greatly enjoyed). Learn something new every day. Anyways, enjoy Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band.
Meanwhile, our kitchen reno continues but our place is quite unlivable at this stage. There’s our office space on the far left.
The next 3-4 days will involve copious amounts of drywall dust entering every nook and cranny in our apartment. We did our best, and covered everything, even blocked off doorways with huge environmentally-unfriendly sheets of plastic. While this goes on, we’re camping out at our friends’ apartment while they’re in tanning their hides in Mexico (thanks Derick and Ryan!).
Speaking of renos, expect a redo of my site in the next few months. Meh, why not?
In the meantime, it’s back to work, coding and designing, also taxes. Perhaps some marketing efforts later in the week. Now I’m just rambling. Good morrow.
